Service Description
Stress Management & Self-Care Skills for Psychology Honours Students is an online, three-part, workshop delivered by registered Psychologist, Adele Bergin. The workshop consists of three, one hour, sessions. In the workshop you will learn: 1. How to recognise the signs and symptoms of stress. 2. Techniques to manage the physical symptoms of stress. 3. Strategies for managing stressful situations you cannot change (i.e., that thesis deadline!). 4. Strategies for when you are feeling overwhelmed. 5. How to prevent stress and build a solid foundation for good mental health. The techniques taught in this workshop are from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Positive Psychology. Please note, the content of this workshop is not intended to be a substitute for treatment of a mental illness, and it is not intended to constitute medical advice. These are not group therapy sessions.
